Something terrible has happened recently! Matthew is remembering what I have said. This sucks because I will quite often say " yes we will do/go blah after your nap/snack/dinner" ....replace blah with "see your friend joey" or " go to the jumping castle at the mall" or "play trains on your train table" etc etc etc. Generally stuff I don't really want to do and have been able to fob off and he forgets about it.
But lately when the 'after nap/snack/dinner etc' has happened he will remind me that I said we would go and do so and so...... bummer. Life just got a bit harder.
Matthew is also starting to throw out complete sentences which is nice to hear. For example, the other day I was down stairs and he was up stairs. He went to the top of the stairs and said " Dada are you down stairs? " He has also started tossing out some cool and funny statements like.... I'll say " Matthew, let's go outside and play on the swing" and he has started piping up with " That's a great idea!" He is also starting to take on board any corrections we make to anything he says for example he use to say "dada hold you" when he wanted to be picked up. Now he is saying "Hold me dada" after we corrected him........ I sure hope we correct him right like.
We also have to now watch what we say. A couple of times now I have hurt myself and blurted out "oh shit". He seems to know when we don't want him to hear what we have said because straight away he started doing something like banging his hand down and saying "oh shit". Luckily so far I have managed to 'correct' him to say "oh shivers" and got away with it :-)
Adam is still a great baby. For about 3 weeks now he has been smiling beautifully at up and making all sorts of cooing, gurgling, squealing sounds as he talks to us...... these noises just melt your heart they are so cute.
