Thomas the Tank Engine

We are off to Tweetsie Railroad this afternoon for Matthew's Birthday ( http://www.tweetsie.com ). Thomas the Tank Engine is there and we will be going for a ride on him. Looks like there are plenty of other things to see as well. We come back on Sunday so it should be quite an adventure for Matthew. We are staying at some house we are renting for 3 nights in Blowing Rock and according to Margaret there is a stream in the back yard so I see many hours of throwing stones into the water coming my way.... let's hope the mosquitoes aren't bad there.

I was reading a book to Matthew last night and there was a picture with a stop sign in it. I said to Matthew "what does that sign say". He replied "S T O P, stop". Cool, he pointed to and said each letter and then said the word. It's just repetition on his part as I have spelt that word out several times to him as we have a stop sign at the end of our street. But maybe he is starting to figure out that letters make words........ then again maybe not :-)

Adam has the cold now :-( . We will have to keep a close eye out for following ear infection.
