Long time no blog

Well, my 3 week vacation is over and I'm back at work now. It's a guilty pleasure. For the whole 3 weeks there has been at least one of us sick. Colds, Mastitis ( guess who got that ), and viral infections. So it wasn't much of a break.

Two kids is HARD WORK! With one we could nap when he napped..... which was several times a day. But Matthew only naps once a day now for a couple of hours and sometimes that is when Adam is no asleep so catching the Zzzz's is almost impossible. Margaret is doing an amazing job.... I couldn't do it..... but it takes it's toll on her. I am actually wishing 6 months of my life would just go by when I snap my fingers so that Adam is 6 months older.

Adam is still an easier baby than Matthew was. He will actually sit there for some period of time and be happy about it..... Matthew was either asleep or screaming.... Although Adam has been getting some really bad gas attacks lately. I feel really sorry for him as you can tell through his cry that he is in a lot of pain and there are only a few things we can do to try and help him.

Christmas was fun. It was the first time Matthew started having a vague idea of what it was all about..... no not in the religious sense..... but in the presents sense. For days after Xmas he would tell us that Santa comes and brings lots and lots of presents and ask us for a present that he could unwrap. I was the paper ripping that he enjoyed..... not the fact that he got a present. We cunningly kept a few presents back and so could feed him some for a few days.

New Year..... Hmmmm must have missed that trying to sleep

And now I am back at work and Margaret is having to come to terms with juggling two kids at once. I think we have decided that next school year Matthew is going to do three days a week ( in the morning for 3 hrs ) instead of the two he is currently doing. It'll be good for him as it will get him a little closer to the 5 days a week he will eventually have to do and Margaret we get that extra morning to give Adam some one on one attention.

Adam..... he's a cool little kid. He goes for his 2 month check up tomorrow ( snow permitting ). In the last week or so he has started to smile big time at us and also he has this really really cute gurgle noise that he makes when he is happy to see you. But cute as it all is..... we are both tired of babies and wish for him to be 1 year old.... so no more for us after this one.

Ok, I have finally made the first blog of the year and hopefully will be back to regular again.

Good to hear you're back blogging again. It helps us know what is to come when our 2nd arrives in June/July.

I think we'll also farm out our eldest to some pre-school/kindergarten/play centre type place. "Eldest". That sounds strange. He's only 1.
