Weekend

We have had really great weather this weekend..... End of the first week of November and I was out after dark in shorts and a teeshirt.

I spent most of the weekend painting trim. Margaret (boss) has decided that she wants to try a different approach to skirting board. She saw it at a friends place and likes the look of it. It consists of a 1 by 6 ( america = non-metic measurements) plank with some molding sitting on top. The old skirting board I have been using has a single piece of milled plank 4 inches high. There is WAY more stuff to paint and it is alot more fiddly, but it should look a lot nicer. I almost finished, just one more top coat on some of it.

The rest of the weekend was spent getting all the leaves off the grass into the wild areas of the yard. This will be an on going battle for about another 3 weeks but is a whole lot easier now I have a ride on mower ( I am currently growing the matching beer gut... but I'm not using beer to get it so it's a whole lot healthier :-) ).

Matthew has a really crappy cold.... I have been puked on twice now in the last 4 days.... Mmmmm yummy semi digested food running down my back. He is very very congested and I guess it slides down his throat and upsets him when he sleeps. I think he turned the corner yesterday afternoon. His appetite is back and he has loads of energy again....even though he still sounds dreadful.

17 days before the arrival of baby number 2...assuming it arrives on time. I'm starting to freak a bit now..... We are going to loose what little life we have gathered back since Matthew arrrived. Oh well, to late now.... it going to happen!
